Support for the work of the students of the Special Vocational Education and Training Laboratory of New Heraklion
Kapelis Packaging actively supports initiatives with a social and educational impact, contributing to actions that promote creativity and inclusion.
We were pleased to respond to the request of the ΕΕΕΕΚ Νέου Ηρακλείου by offering Doypack pouches for the packaging of the creations of the students from the Culinary and Pastry Department.
Through the “PouPass” initiative, the students present their work while raising awareness about invisible disabilities, promoting acceptance and visibility.
For us, packaging is a tool that supports creation and enhances the efforts of the students, allowing them to present their creations in the best possible way.
Congratulations to everyone for this valuable initiative.

Educational Visit to Kapelis Packaging Facilities
Students from Anavyssos High School visited the facilities of Kapelis Packaging as part of an educational program focused on food packaging and the modern technologies used in the industry.
Aristeidis Naoum, Chemist – Materials R&D & Quality Department, explained to the students why food spoils, the importance of proper packaging in maintaining quality, and the packaging technologies applied at the company.
Following this, Sotiris Angelopoulos, M.Sc. Chemical Engineering – Director of Materials R&D & Quality Department, conducted a demonstration of sealing a Halopack container using a sealing machine, presenting step by step the packaging process of a ready meal. The presentation concluded with gas measurements using a gas analyzer, highlighting how optimal Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) conditions are ensured.
The visit ended with a tour of the clean room and the Halopack production line. In the clean room, students experienced firsthand a certified, controlled environment with high hygiene standards, where strict cleanliness and quality protocols are followed — essential for the safe production of food packaging materials.
We sincerely thank them for their interest and active participation.
